๐Ÿ“… A Typical Day as a Volunteer

8:00 AM
๐ŸŒ… Start your day with breakfast at the sanctuary โ€” fresh, plant-based, and shared with fellow volunteers.
9:00 AM
๐ŸŒ Get hands-on in the elephant kitchen: chopping fruit, preparing rice balls, and learning what goes into feeding a giant.
12:00 PM
๐Ÿฅ— Enjoy a home-cooked vegan lunch and relax before the afternoon tasks begin.
1:00 PM
๐ŸŽ‹ Head into the jungle to help cut bamboo, grass, or banana stalks โ€” vital food and enrichment for the animals.
3:30 PM
๐Ÿ’ Visit the monkey enclosures to prepare enrichment, deliver food, and observe their playful personalities.
5:00 PM
๐Ÿ• Take the dogs out for an afternoon walk โ€” a calm, rewarding way to end the day with tail wags and jungle trails.

What kind of tasks will I do as a volunteer?

Youโ€™ll help with animal care, preparing food, cleaning enclosures, planting, enrichment, and small construction projects โ€” all vital to the sanctuaryโ€™s daily life.
Do I need experience with animals?

Not at all! No prior experience is needed. Our team will guide you through everything. Just come with compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to get involved.
What animals will I help care for?

Youโ€™ll care for elephants, monkeys, pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, and even geese โ€” all rescued and now thriving in safety and peace.
Is accommodation and food included?

Yes! Youโ€™ll stay in a shared jungle bungalow with basic comforts. We provide three healthy vegetarian meals a day, plus drinking water, tea, and coffee.
Can I volunteer for more than one week?

Yes โ€” we love long-term volunteers! You can extend your stay or return for another visit anytime. Just let us know when booking.
What should I pack?

Bring comfortable clothes, closed shoes, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, sun protection, and anything else youโ€™d take for a week in nature.
Is there Wi-Fi or electricity at the sanctuary?

Yes โ€” basic electricity and Wi-Fi are available in the volunteer area, although we encourage disconnecting and being present during the day.
Do I need a visa or travel insurance?

Most travelers can enter Cambodia with a tourist visa, available online or on arrival. We recommend having travel insurance for your peace of mind.
Whatโ€™s a typical day like for volunteers?

Mornings begin with animal care and breakfast, followed by various projects. Afternoons include enrichment or learning sessions, with free time in the evening to relax.
Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Many of our volunteers join solo and leave with lifelong friends. Our community is welcoming, safe, and full of connection.
